About
My grandma taught me how to knit and crochet in her living room, stitch by stitch. The first thing I made was a patchwork crossbody bag with kids plastic needles. Her neighbor taught her the same way, in her own living room, stitch by stitch.
That's how it's always been passed down. Knitting, crochet and other fiber crafts were traveled like folktales, watched and copied and passed between women in homes, workrooms, and guilds. The knowledge lived in hands, not pages.
MakArchives is built on that same idea. I can't give you a 47-page pattern with a schematic for every size, you can check Ravelry for that. I'm here to give you the building blocks.
Learn the foundation, make it your own, and maybe one day you'll be the one sitting in someone's living room showing them how.
