Choosing a Yarn & Hook
Filet crochet is usually done with mercerized cotton thread and a small crochet hook. You can use any yarn or hook, but it's best to use a non-stretchy, non-fuzzy fiber for clean, robust lines.
Use the recommended hook size per your yarn.
Abbreviations
| Abbreviation | Stitch Name |
|---|---|
| sl st | Slip stitch |
| ch | Chain |
| sc | Single crochet |
| dc | Double crochet |
| st | Stitch |
